A plastic article that uses two different types of plastic and that is clearly distinguishable between the two plastics is called a two-color article. Mounted on the same injection molding machine with two sets of injection molding equipment (two-color injection molding machine), the mold that injects two kinds of plastics in order and produces two-color products is called a two-color mold.
Compared with the traditional injection molding, the two-shot co-injection molding process has the following advantages:
